Charles Frederick Stickel - Unknown   
He was involved at Cage''s Ford, TN and Stone River, TN between December 31, 1862 and January 4, 1864. He was involved in the battle at Hoover''s Gap, TN on June 26, 1863. He was involved in the Battle at Chickamauga, GA on September 19 and 20, 1863 and Missionary Ridge, TN where he was wounded on November 25, 1863. After he recovered from his wound he re-enlisted in the 31st OVI and wnt with General Sherman on his ''March to the Sea.''

David Eversole - Private   
David, my great-great grandfather, volunteered in Somerset, Perry Co., OH at the age of 22. Mustered into Co. G Sept. 23, 1861. After the Battle of Stones River he was selected by his company for Rosecran's Roll of Honor and the Elite Battalion. On the first day of the Battle of Chickamauga he was wounded. A musket ball entered at his wrist and traveled up his forearm lodging below his elbow. He recouperated at Brown Hospital, Louisville, KY. On Feb. 15, 1864 he was transferred to the Invalid Corps. He never regained full use of his arm and after the war was awarded a small pension for his disability.

Enrolled on Nov. 27, 1861 at Newark, Ohio and mustered in Nov. 29th, 1861 at Camp Dick Robinson to serve three years.
Was first wounded in a skirmish with the Rebel General Morgan at Cages Ford, Tenn. Nov. 22, 1862. Fought in the major Battles of Stones River, Hoovers Gap and Chickamauga.

At Chickamauga he was again wounded after a minnie ball passed through and fractured the bone of his left thigh on the second day of fighting, Sept. 20th and subsequently taken prisoner. After laying upon the battlefield for 12 days without treatment (causing gangreen to set in) until paroled, he was immediately transported to U.S.A. General Field Hospital at Stevenson, Alabama for treatment. In Nov. he was moved to Hospital No. 13 in Nashville, TN and moved again to No. 1 U.S.A. Hospital (Branch No. 8) at Louisville, KY. in December. He remained here til March of '64 when he was transferred to Jeffersonville U.S.A. General Hospital at Jeffersonville, IND. In May he was finally transferred for the last time to Dennison U.S.A. General Hospital at Camp Dennison, Ohio where he remained as a patient until he was discharged in Aug. '64 on account of his wound.
