Thomas enlisted with his John (I don't have any information about John). Thomas was 41 when he enlisted in August 1862. He was injured in an accident near Baton Rouge. He was later hospitalized in Washington, DC (we have a letter from him while hospitalized there). His son served until the end of the war.
