Asa Was my great, great grandpa. In June 1890, he appears in Ozark County on the eleventh census of the United States on a special schedule which is Union Surviving Soldiers, Sailors, Maries , and widows. Asa had served in the Civil War from 27 Sept. 1864-9 April 1865 as a Private in the 73rd Regiment E.M.M. under Captian William L. Fenix and also in Fenix's Taney County V.M.M. G.O.#3.

Witt M. Marsh was born circa 1843 in Bledsoe County, TN and died after 1887, probably in Eldridge, Laclede County, MO. He married Martha E. Stowe on 21 Aug 1870 in Springfield, Greene County, MO. Witt is buried in the Zion-Bidwell Cemetery in Eldridge, Laclede County, MO. He was an extended member of my family.
