Enlisted in Ripley County Mo. 17 August 1862 in Co E 12th Missouri Infantry, White's Regiment. he is also found in the 9th and 10th Consolidated Mo. Infantry Regt's. His unit is under the command of Col. W M. Moore when it was surrendered at New Orleans La. on June 1865.
