Mustered in 1863, Charlestown, MA. Wounded May 1864 at the Battle in Wilderness, VA. Bullet to head, resulting in permanent eye disability. Admitted to Soldiers Home in Togus, ME in 1883. Discharged at request, 13 Dec 1890. Not sure where he went after that - still researching. Last pension payment was Dec. 1896. Pension papers dated 28 Feb 1897 indicate he died (no date, no place of burial noted)

He enlisted on Jauary 28, 1862 and was mustered in to Co. F, 17th Massachusetts Infantry on January 31, 1862. He was discharged for disability on February 14, 1862 in Baltimore, Maryland. He enlisted in Co. G, 50th Massachusetts Infantry on Sept. 19, 1862 and mustered out of Co. G, 50th Mass. on August 24, 1863 in Wenham, MA. He enlisted on December 16, 1863 as a private and was mustered in to Co. K, 59th Massachusetts Infantry on April 21, 1864. He was listed as wounded on May 15, 1864 (possibly at Spottsylvania) and died of disease on October 13, 1864.
