Jacob Wisner/Weisner enrolled as a Bugler in Company 'G' of the 52nd Regiment of Kentucky Volunteer Infantry commanded by Captain Hartee, Sept 17th 1863 at Princeton KY and Mustered in December 21, 1863 at Franklin KY.



Jacob Wisner transferred to Company 'E' of the 17th Regiment KY Volunteer Cavalry  the 18th day of November 1864 by reenlistment at Russellville KY.  He mustered out September 20th 1865 honorably discharged at Louisville KY.

He was admitted to the National Military Home near Leavenworth Kansas on the 17th day of May 1886.   

He died 28th of February 1892 in the hospital at the National Military Home Leavenworth Kansas.
