Francis Marion Haven

My great-great grandfather was Francis 'Frank' Marion Haven. While he was with the 12th Clavary he was held captive at a POW camp in Salisbury, NC for 83 days. He was released as part of a prisoner exchange between the USA and CSA. He was wounded a total of three times during the war including one which he lost his right eye.

Joseph Ambrose Ledford

Joseph was enrolled 12/29/1863 in Co. B. but Mustered in on 3/17/1864 Co. K. Enlisted in Paducah, KY. He was taken prisoner almost immmediately in Paducah and sent to Andersonville Prison in GA where he died 6/13/1864 from diarrhea. He was married to Mahala Griffin in Graves Co., KY and they had one child, William Joseph Ledford, born 6/10/1862. Mahala drew a pension on Joseph then when she died the child drew the pension. Joseph was the son of William and Elizabeth Mills Ledford of Trigg Co., KY.
