Jacob Lee was wounded at the Battle of Antietam on 9/17/1862 and died of his wounds on 10/24/1862. He enlisted as a sergeant and held the rank of 2nd Lieut. at his death. In the 1880s he was postumously promoted to the rank of 1st Lieut. to date from 10/4/1862.

Alex had his Right leg crushed at Winchester Va. and taken prisoner after his release from Belle Isle Va. He return to the 101st. Attillery New York Just in time to fight at Gettisburg Pa where he was shot in his left leg and lay on the Battle field July 3rd and 4th before he was found still alive. They had to amputate his leg 2 inches below the knee. Alex died in 1902 in Greene county , Koleen Indian . He is Buried at the Walnut Grove Cemetery near Bloomfield.
