Washington Brock was wounded at Chancellorsville. In about 1883, he moved from Carroll County Georgia to Franklin County Arkansas. He applied for a pension and it was granted. His file includes proof of service supplied by his brother, John Ross Brock and his parole. I have copies of 3 letters that he wrote to his brother James Daniel Brock, who died at the Battle of Cold Harbor. In a letter dated September 22, 1862, he said 'I hear a great talk of our troops going up toward Cattanugaa from awl accounts they air firing up for a big fight they air sending troops from different partes of the Confdrasy to Chattanuga our Leiagon has gone up thair so I hear I wish this cruel was would end....'
