Joseph Cook - Unknown
|
I've just found this information on a tombstone at Flat Shoals Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Stockbridge, Henry, Georgia. I'm not sure if it is my ancestor or not, but I am hopeful. Tombstone reads: Joseph Cook, CO I, 53 GA INF, C.S.A. seen on www.billiongraves.com. My ancestor Joseph Cook died between 1810 and 1822, and it has been very difficult to find any trace of him. He had a wife Mary, and a son, Richard.

James Warren Price - Private
|
James Warren Price is my 3rd Great-grandfather.
Listed as Warren Price, 1st Georgia Regulars, on his Combined Service Record, he is the son of James Mitchell Price and Elizabeth Black. He was born in Johnson County, Ga, 1841, and married Susan Alitia Ross. They had James Warren Price, Jr., whom married Ophelia Spence and had Susan Flora Price. Susan Flora Price married Obediah Silas Spence and had Eva DeBertha Spence. Eva DeBertha Spence married Henry Gilbert Simpson and had Opal Inez Simpson. Opal Inez Simpson married Benjamen Franklin Brown and had my father, Dan Edwin Brown.
Warren Price served Dec 1863 - May 1865, and is listed as being Paroled 22 May 1865 in Augusta, Ga. He is said to have been wounded and captured in the hospital. He is listed as a conscript and is buried with much of his family in the Price Family Cemetery near Wrightsville, Ga. His grave has a V.A. issued headstone that clearly marks him as being in the 1st GA Regulars. We have an origional picture of Warren Price and his wife in the family.

Pendleton Fuller - Corporal
|
1st Regiment, Georgia Reserves (Fannin's)
Enlisted when he was in his late 40's on April 28th (year isn't legible) in Atlanta GA. He is from Paulding County (Fullerville/ Villa Rica area).
Was stationed at Andersonville where he was discharged on Sept. 3, 1864 and died on his way home in Meriwether County leaving behind his wife and 6 children (the youngest was only 5 years old).
I was able to see the Certificate of Disability for Discharge on the website archives.gov however they are hard to make out what the reason is.
At this time we are unable to find a grave or death certificate to get a day of death all we know it it could be in 1865.
