Jeremiah Wells Anderson
Jeremiah Wells Anderson - Sergeant Major |
|
I am a direct descendent of Jeremiah W. Anderson (b. 1834), believed to be 5-6 generations removed. He had a son Berry Patrick Anderson (b. 185?), who had a son named Berry Patrick Anderson Jr.(b. 187?), who had a son Ishom Jeremiah Anderson (my great-grandfather; b. 189?), who had a son Isom James Anderson (my grandfather; b. 1921), who had a son Bucky James Anderson (my dad; b. 1955) and I am Zachary James Anderson (b. 1983). He served in the 5th Florida Infantry regimen. Wounded in the battle of Anteitam and later died under the care of Amanda Licklider, a nurse in Shepherdstown Virginia (now West Virginia). In my family's possession is a letter from Ms. Licklider explaining his injuries and the worries of the time. This was the original source of interest for the family and initiated this geneological exploration. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or additional information. Thanks!
