100 days unit, Co K was from Gumboro Delaware vacinity. They guarded bridges during the South's push into Maryland and Pennsylvania. Five companies including 'K' were moved to Ft. Delaware to help with the influx of new prisioners. I have several newspaper clippings of the 6th Delaware's return to Kent and Sussex counties after their discharge in Wilmington Delaware.
