William Beebe (my g-g-g-grandfather) hailed from Waterford and enlisted on 1/4/64, at which time he was 34 years old and a father of five. He served as a cook and was wounded in the leg at Petersburg on 8/18/64. He was mustered out on 9/25/65 at Washington, DC.
