Richard Carroll, born circa 1846, born Collon, Louth, Ireland. Enlisted from Windsor Locks, Connecticut, 1861. Discharged 1865. Died, Windsor Locks, Connecticut, 1911.

My GGG Grandfather. Served throughout the entire war, starting as a private and working his way up to Lieutenant by the war's end. Don't have alot on him, would like to discuss with any kin!

William Beebe (my g-g-g-grandfather) hailed from Waterford and enlisted on 1/4/64, at which time he was 34 years old and a father of five. He served as a cook and was wounded in the leg at Petersburg on 8/18/64. He was mustered out on 9/25/65 at Washington, DC.

Found two of my relatives who served, there may be at least one more relative who served but in what was known as the Reserved Volunteers.

My great-great grandfather. Enlisted as private in Co. C; he was also a sergeant in Co. G. Mustered out after the war; promoted to Brevet Captain for actions at Petersburg.

My great-great-granduncle. His sister Mary married my great-great-grandfather, Robert Lewis after the War. My great-grandfather was named John Patrick Lewis after him, I believe.

Enlisted April 1862. Died of typhoid fever July 1862 during the Peninsula Campaign.
