The majority of his service was with the 32nd Arkansas Infantry (Mounted & dismounted). He was first recruited by Richard Hooker in the 30 day Arkansas Mounted Volunteers, then they reorganised and mustered into the 32nd ... company D
served with Charles H. Matlock & Capt. John Bland, also with Lt-Col/Col. Lucien C Gause up until late summer of 1864 when he was with the 45th Arkansas Infantry Regiment (Mounted) with Colonel Mildon D Baber, they were assigned to McCrae's Brigade under General Price and participated in the Missouri Raid.
