Hiram C. Smith was born 1831 in Benton Co. AR. and married Lucy J. Carter. He joined the Confederacy fought at Prairie Grove, Wilson Creek and Fayetteville. I was told he fought under Capt. Wm. 'Buck' Brown. His brother william Henry Smith also joined.
