Roland Washington Englebert - Unknown   
Roland Washington Englebert was born 4 Aug 1871 in Tuscaloosa County, AL. His parents were Frederick Englebert (of Bremen Germany) and Peachy Shirley (of SC). He was raised in Tuscaloosa and enlisted in Confederate Army 13 Dec 1861 with Captain Freeman's Prison Guards . Paroled by the Federal Government 1 May 1865 at Salisbury, NC. He had a total of three wives named Anna Hartman, Minnie F Bean and Clemmie Smith. He lived with his first 2 wives in Rowan County NC then married his 3rd wife and they lived in Tuscaloosa County where he died 1909 in Pickens County, Alabama and is buried in Sand Springs Cemetery, Gordo, AL.

Young George Englebert - Unknown   
Young George Englebert was born in 1838 SC to Frederick Englebert (of Bremen, Germany) and Peachy Shirley (SC). He later went with his parents to Pickens County, AL then Tuscaloosa County, Alabama where he mostly lived. He enlisted in Confederate Army 8-16-1862 Tuscaloosa, AL and served in Captain Freeman's Co. Prison Guards and Capt Henry McCoys Regiment C.S.A.
- Accord to Confederate Army records at that time, 9-26-1864 he was a prisoner of war in Salisbury, NC and was in the hosp with intermittant fever.
-June 30 to Aug 31 1864 Muster Roll he is listed as 'in confinement'.
-Memorandum From Prison of War Records: Admitted to Salisbury NC with intermittant fever then Returned to prison Sep 29 1864.
-Memorandum for prisoner of War Records: He was 'admitted to hospital in Salisbury NC Variola? No 10.' Sep 26-28th for int (intermittant )fever.
-After the war he remained in NC and married Mary Catherine Wilkinson. I believe he died around 1879.
