Drury was born 9 Jan 1831 in Georgia. The 1860 census has him at age 28 in Coosa County, Ala. He has 5 cards in his archival but only 3 are his. The archival card says he enlisted 15 Dec at Memphis however I think this is an error and he enlisted in Coosa County. He applied for a received a CSA Pension as did his wife [Sarah Jane Bulger] after his death. He was wounded in the shoulder at Peachtree Creek in Georgia.
He died 12 Dec 1902 at Rockford, Coosa County, Ala. Buried at the Concord Methodist Church at Hissop, Coosa County.
