Pvt James Samuel Ochiltree, youngest son of David and Jane (Leech) Ochiltree, b. Aug 13 1844 in Rockbridge Co, VA, KIA Nov 12 1864 at Cedarville, Warren Co., Virginia. He served in Co E, 52nd Regiment, Virginia Inf. He joined the Cavalry, was killed in a charge, at Cedarville, six miles below Front Royal. He may have been serving in a different Virginia cavalry regiment when he was killed. Buried at High Bridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Virginia.
