Born in the western part of Virginia in 1841, Abraham and two of his brothers served in the Army of Northern Virginia. He enlisted in June of 1861 and was surrendered in June of 1865. After the War he and his wife Mary (Fleenor) moved to Illinois. About 1900 Abraham moved his family to Sharp County, Arkansas where he filed a pension in 1904. He died in 1923 in Sharp County.

David was my great-uncle, my grandfather Andrew Jordan's older brother.

He is buried in Woodlawn National Cemetary, Gravesite # 2384.He was one of four Mink brothers in Company B, 48th Virginia Infantry Regiment, including: David Wesley Mink, Wiley B Mink, and William James Mink. These men were all my grandfathers Andrew Jordan Mink's older brothers and were my great-uncles.
