St. George Tucker Grim - Private |
1822-1898
If anyone has any more on him, it would be fantastic; we know nothing about him other than a few scant historical records and a tombstone. I would love to know anything about what, if any, battles he saw; he lived through the Civil War and did not die until 1898. He is buried in the Stonewall Confederate Cemetery Winchester Winchester City Virginia, USA Plot: Virginia, 414
The only records I have for him are that he was in the Chimborazo hospital, No. 1, Richmond, for scorbutus (scurvy) and was furloughed on July 7, 1864 for 40 days. I also have a document showing where he was paroled after the surrender on April 20, 1865 and a Confederate company muster roll for Nov-Dec 1863, and he was present for that.
St. George Tucker Grim is my great-great-great grandfather on my mother's side.
