Company L
William Cowhey
- Private
William Cowhey served in Pennsylvania Regiment L-5 (204th) from January 30, 1862 to January 30, 1865, according to his Civil War pension file.

William also served a three-month tour from April 26 to July 30, 1861 with the Pennsylvania Infantry Company I-16 (along with his brother Thomas Cowhey).

William Cowhey's name was spelled Cowy in War Department records regarding his service in Company I-16. It is also sometimes spelled Cowhy or Cowey, but I believe Cowhey is correct.

If you have any knowledge about either of his units please contact me.
