James H Loughridge - Private
Fought and was wounded in the leg at the Battle of Fredericksburg, December 13th, 1862. Was a member of the 1st Corp and part of Meade's break through of Stonwall Jackson's lines. Recovered from his wound and later joined the 5th NY Heavy Artillery. Grant pulled the HA units out of the forts and put them in the field as infantry for the 1864 battles. He fought as a Cpl. at the Battle of Ceader Creek where he was captured and later released when the Confederates were routed from the field.

Michael was born in Ireland in 1845. He served in Co.H of the 136th.PA Infantry. The 1880 census lists he and his family living in Erie, Pa. I believe he past in 1887-1888.
