My great great grandfather. He originally joined 17th PA (a three month regiment), then joined the 21st PA (a three month regiment), and finally ended up in the 98th PA for the remainder of the war. He lived in Philadelphia, where he died on April 1, 1911 and is buried in Philadelphia National Cemetery.

Herman Lucke - 2nd Corporal
He was my great great grandfather,born or lived in Rathenow Germany,came to Philadelphia in 1855 with his brother?Julius Lucke prv. Both were fresco painters,Herman married anna Frickmann in 1865,she was from Branswieg Germany and had 12 children. He collected a civil war pension in 1894 till 6 july 1900 when he died,his wife collected a widows pension till january 1939 when she died in Philadelphia.
