Tulley Williamson Orr
- Private
Tully was my great-great grandfather. He was the son of Lewton and Lydia Williamson Orr. He was born in New Hanover County and was a cooper and a farmer. He married Mary M. Motte on September 8, 1848.

Tulley enlisted twice. The first time was June 11, 1861, North Carolina, 1st Regt., Company C. He was discharged the following day, June 12, 1861. More than likely because of his age.

He tried again on March 14, 1862 with more success. North Carolina, 51st Regt., Company A.
He was present and accounted for until wounded in the right hip at or near Drewry's Bluff, Virginia, on or about May 15, 1864. He was hospitalized at Richmond, Virginia. Furloughed for thirty days on October 6, 1864. Reported absent without leave on or about November 5, 1864.
