My gg grandfather came from Ireland during the potato famine. He spent some time in Missouri, eventually settled in Mason County, KY. My father's great uncle said that he fought for the Union side as a member of a regiment from Missouri. That is all I know about him. He is buried in Shannon UMC cematary in Mason County, KY.
