David Young Pankey - Captain   
David Young Pankey was a Lt. Col 1st Division Mo. State Guard. CMR 5 March - April 30 1863 - Lieutenant, Co. B, Ist Battn: Missouri Vol's. enlisted by James A Walker for 3 years. He was elected to rank of 1st Lieut. 5 March 1863. CMR Nov-Dec 1862 Absent on expired furlough. [ he had been captured ]. Roll of prisoners of war at Camp Chase, Ohio. transferred to City Point, Va. for exchange. Elected to rank of Captain on 15 July 1863. * Note: The Arkansas Post prisoners were all transferred directly from the boats in which they came up the river , to cars which took them East.
