Volunteer enlistment, Feb 23, 1864, Portland, ME. First battle May 8, 1864 @ Todd's Tavern, survived Cold Harbor. Was injured by a horse falling on him April 2, 1865 and was put in Bay Point(Cold Point?)HOspital for 3 months then mustered out with his regiment August 1, 1865.
Canadian born: Trois Rivieres, St. Maurice, Quebec, Canada 1837, died 1912 in Dummer, New Hampshire.
I have requested his complete records from NARA and should probably recieve them around the end of October, 1st of November, 2005.
