Transferred from the 27th infantry Regt. Reasion not determined, Could not read the Confederate records well.
It appears he was with this Regt. at Vicksburg. Co. C. was parolled to Enterprise Ms. where they became apart of the La. 22nd consolidated Inf. Regt. They saw action in Georgia. The last 3 Companies of the 3rd Inf. Regt. was mixed into the 22nd as well.
Emile was a Frenchman (French Creol) from Point Coupee Parish. He survived the War. His name shows up in Southern War Claims Commission Records after the War.
