Hiram Rothrock along with two of his brothers, fought in the civil war on the union side. Hiram enlisted in 1862 and mustered out in 1865. He later moved to Spokane, Washington. His father Abraham Rothrock was a baptist minister who was attacked by the Quantrill's raiders.
