William Wade Webb - Private
Entered service to the C.S.A. June 1861 at Wittsburg, Arkansas. Reported wounded 22 July, 1864, at the Battle of Bald Hill (Govan's Brigade) near Atlanta. Sent to hospital. Took the Oath 19 May, 1865 at Newberne, North Carolina. (Also born in North Carolina) Lived after the War near Madison Arkansas, at the 'Big Eddie' section of the St. Francis River. W.W. Webb's Son, Remington Pender Webb, had a daughter, Helen Peterson(Webb) who was my Grandmother. She married James Tony Peterson. Their son, James B.R. 'Rick' Peterson, born near the 'Big Eddie' on the St. Francis River in a houseboat, one of 11 children, was my Father. Helen and J.T. Peterson moved to Hayti Mo. Sometime in the late 1930's. Helen and J.T. are buried in Kennett Mo. James 'Rick' Peterson Died March 1989, of Webster Groves and St Clair Mo. is buried near Holland Mo. Any further information on W.W. Webb's CSA service and family would be most welcome.

James Shelby Grisham - Private
James was born in Good Springs, Alabama on 20 Oct 1839. He has 18 cards in his archival file. He was 21 years old when he enlisted in Capt Gingles' Co. State Troops at Brownsville on 14 Jun 1861. He was mustered into Confederate Service at Pocahontas, Ark in July 1861. His unit was reorganized for the war at Corinth, Miss. on 12 May 1862. His first weapon was M1816/M1822 .69 Cal. flintlock. They upgraded by scavenged weapons from the battlefield from dead yankee's at Shiloh. His first battle was at the Siege of Corinth April-June 1861 and was engaged in most when not out sick until the last fight at Bentonville, NC March 19-21 1865. He is buried at Oakwood Cem, Tuscumbia, Colbert Co. Ala. We are related thru a distant marriage.
