Comments:
Noah was one of 7 family members [youngest] who served in Co H 42nd NC Infantry. Their is only one source for this and no CMR's in the archives. He enlisted first in Co. G 1st Junior Reserves on 10 May 1862 as he was 16 or 17 years old. I did find a CMR for him in this unit. At what time this unit was taken into the 42nd is unknown. He was born 2 April 1845 in Stanley Co. NC. and died 29 Aug 1915. He was the father in law of my 4th cousin 3 x removed Eva Ann Brooks. They are buried at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Ch. Oakboro, Stanley Co. NC. His gravestone gives his unit as 1st Junior Reserves.
