(NCRosterC) Published in 1993 Zeno was my GG Uncle. (PS) For those genealogist`s who are searching for Zeno he is erroneously listed as Zenah M. Harris, 4th Corporal In the NC troops Rosters of co. F 52nd Nc troops...R.J............... Letter from Zeno to his father in May of 1862 Dear Father, take my best respects as a father whom I love. My heart's desire is for your welfare in every thing but if there is any danger then send brother to me, and but if there is no danger keep him there till I come. I have not yet been to Raleigh and of course I have not attended to your business, but as soon as I receive by bounty I Will go. Remember me in your prayers, for this is a cruel place. 'The effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much.' I must stop I am called. Your affectionate son, Z.M. Rash Cal, I am well. I hope you are. I want you all to write to me soon. Cal I wrote to Rufus last Sunday. I am looking for letters, they would give me joy. Tell my friends to write to me. Kess the girls for me. Kiss Nan, Dellia, Em, Ellis and especially Miss Maggie.
