Wilsons Creek. August 12, 1861. Lyon fragged?
|
A lot of hyperbole and outright fake news about Lyon .
Understandable, I suppose, he was a tempestuous man and a helluva handful.
He strikes me as being a first rate combat officer, and, judging by the casualties suffered by the rebels in that intense and bloody fight at Wilson’s Creek, his men fought well when he was leading them.
Unlikely candidate for being fragged, but then I know little about this man and the strife in Missouri , and would welcome enlightenment.
Regards, Phil
