One hundred and thirty thousand defeated by sixty five thousand half starved ragamuffins ! The bottom is out of the barrel !”
That’s what Lincoln said - if you’ll forgive my rhetorical paraphrasing.
He should have read the Janesville Daily Gazette.
That would have put the bottom back in the barrel.
