Larry,
At last, we see the first reports of the Battle of Fredericksburg being pitched.
The Brooklyn Eagle, to its credit, made no attempt to put lipstick on the pig.
The suggestion that the Union loss in killed and wounded would be no less than five thousand would prove woefully vindicated by the fact that it was, indeed, to be more than twice that number.
