Joseph Krienert
- Corporal
Joseph's last name was misspelled on the Form 244 as 'Crenot'.

He 'enrolled' April 30, 1864 at Florissant, Missouri - ordered to active service September 25th, 1864, and relieved from duty on November 3, 1864.

He was 32 years of age at that time. Joseph lost his discharge papers during the family's move from Florissant, Mo. to West Point, Ne. in 1878.

At 83 years, he applied for a Civil War veteran's pension in 1914 at West Point, Nebr. The bureaucrats at the 'War Department' didn't make much of an effort in tracking his service down - they rejected his application.

Joseph is buried in St. Boniface Catholic cemetery at Monterey (West Point), Nebraska.
